Everybody and everything we come in contact with have energy. Kundalini Yoga awakens the power of your internal energy and leads to a profound spiritual awakening that has impacted every area of our lives. This ancient yoga practice is now our mission.
To help people live this high-vibrational lifestyle, it is important to understand Kundalini, its benefits to the mind, body, and soul, as well as why it works.
We will all experience triumphs, losses, hardships, and difficulties throughout our lives. Kundalini helps us to react more positively to these ups and downs by guiding us from a neutral space. This ancient healing practice is the first to be created. It activates specific brain areas that enhance awareness and allow for more balanced control. This practice increases your energy awareness and nervous system at the cellular level through specific movements and breath.
Kundalini, in Sanskrit, means “coiled snake”. In Eastern religions, it was believed that the base of the spine was where the divine energy was created. Kundalini is able to “uncoil” the snake and connect us with this divine energy.
Kundalini, in its early days, was a study in the science of energy. In ancient times, royals would visit Kundalini Masters to learn the ancient scientific teachings and visions of Kundalini. Yogi Bhajan (originally Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji) is credited for bringing Kundalini into Western culture. (In 2020, many years after his death Yogi Bhajan was involved in numerous sexual assault and harassment allegations.
Kundalini yoga can be practiced all over the globe, but its origins are not known. Kundalini energy is a concept that has existed for centuries. It was first mentioned in Vedic texts around 1,000 B.C.
Kundalini yoga is best associated with Yogi Bhajan from Pakistan, who was a yoga teacher. His contribution to the introduction of the practice in Western countries during the 1960s is highly lauded.
“Kundalini,” which is Sanskrit for “circle”, comes from the Sanskrit term “kundal,” meaning “circular.” It also refers a coiled serpent. According to practitioners, Kundalini is like a coiled snake. It lies at the base of your spine and sleeps unaroused.
Kundalini yoga can be used to activate this energy. It allows it to move along your spine through the chakras.
Chakras refer to the seven energy centers of your body that are part of yoga. These include:
Kundalini energy increases, which is believed to balance the chakras and improve your spiritual well-being.
Kundalini yoga can lead to spiritual awakening if you practice it regularly. This is known as a Kundalini awakening.
Kundalini yoga has a higher spirituality than other types of yoga.
Although it still involves physical movements they are not the main focus. This is in contrast to Hatha or vinyasa Yoga, which are both based on physical poses.
Kundalini yoga is more specific and repetitive. Kundalini yoga is more precise and repetitive than other yoga styles that flow with your breathing.
Kundalini is a tool that helps us achieve lightness, joy, and unending love. Kundalini Yoga will help you become more aware of the anatomy of your body and how it affects energy, emotion, and motion. This can be done quickly and efficiently.
There are “locks” within our bodies where energy is blocked. This can cause us to be out of tune with our mind-body connection, our universe, or our highest potential. Kundalini Yoga draws the energy from the base of the spine upward, through your roof, and outward to allow energy flow and balance in your energy centers.
We’ll be walking you through the technical aspects of yoga, such as breathing, mantras, and meditations.
It might seem strange at first to do the chanting, breathing, and some of these postures. It is important to be consistent with your spiritual practice and to show up every day.
Kundalini Yoga uses Long Deep Breathing as the most common form of breathing. This is where you inhale slowly and deeply through your nose, contracting your stomach on the exhale, and expanding it out on the inhale.
Each meditation and kriya uses a specific posture and breath to generate or release energy. Breath of Fire is one of the most loved and popular breathwork practices in Kundalini Yoga. Breath of Fire is a practice that involves breathing in equal parts through your nose and pumping your stomach to produce oxygen in your blood. It also charges your electromagnetic field. When you feel overwhelmed, breathwork can be a wonderful tool. To instantly calm our anxiety, we use Long Deep Breathing. We place our left hand on our heart and our right hand on our stomach.
Mantras don’t sound as scary or woo-woo. Chants and mantras can be used to positively affect your mood by triggering a chemical reaction within the brain and body. All emotions, including happiness, joy, or sadness, vibrate at a particular frequency. Chanting a mantra is a way to channel the positive power of these emotions, such as peace, abundance, and prosperity.
A mantra will attract your body to vibrate at the frequency of your mantra, elevating your mood and creating a higher-vibe state. Mantras don’t have to be chanted in meditation. You can use mantras while driving or sleeping. The energy of sacred sounds and tones will fill your space, and bring that energy into your life. The mantra for success, prosperity is our favorite. We love to chant “har” for prosperity.
You can create a kriya by combining breath, sound, and posture. Kriya is “action” and can be described as a set of specific actions and commitments that allow manifestation to occur. Kriyas are a way to create a healthy, vibrant life that is balanced on all levels. The Kriya to Balancing the Aura is one kriya that you can try today. It works quickly and effectively, and will help protect your energy field, increase your physical stamina and boost your energy.
Mudras allow us to lock and direct our energy to different areas of our brains through hand positions. Yoga masters mapped out how the hands are connected to the different parts of the body and brain thousands of years ago. To activate the energy, we always place our fingers in a finger-to-finger position.
Kundalini yoga’s most popular mudra is the Gyan, which stimulates knowledge by using the thumb and index fingers. To achieve this mudra, press your thumb and index fingers together. This activates the points in the fingers. Jupiter is associated with the index finger, which symbolizes expansion. This mudra allows you to feel receptivity as well as calmness. This passive, yet powerful, form is used unless another active form has been specified.
Another popular and highly effective mudra is the Blocks of Communication. This can be used for everything from a first date to nerve-wracking business meetings. For one minute, press the thumb pad onto the Mercury (pinky finger) nail. This will allow you to build the confidence and ability to communicate what you need. Next, touch your thumb lightly to your pinky finger. This will channel your communication energy and align it with your ego.
Kundalini Yoga meditations have healing and releasing effects. Meditation can awaken, elevate, and move you to the full extent of your energy releasing or creating. To achieve different results, Kundalini yoga meditations are performed at specific times. A three-minute meditation can affect the electromagnetic field and blood circulation in the body. An 11-minute meditation will alter the nervous system and glandular systems. Meditation for 31 minutes affects all cells and rhythms in the body. It also clears the subconscious mind.
